I HAVE CHANGED THE COVERAGE OF SOME PARTS OF TORT LAW. I AM GIVING YOU THIS ADVANCE NOTICE PRIOR TO NEXT CLASS SESSION.

When studying, in advance of class, the next section dealing with Tort Law. Please be informed of the following changes I am making to your textbook:

I WILL add the tort of battery with transferred intent doctrine to our classroom discussion of intentional torts. For some reason Professor Miller does not cover this important tort at all.

I will discuss defamation when we discuss free speech. The textbook has additional material and you responsible for reviewing that on your own.

We will cover Fraudulent Misrepresentation, but not during our discussion of this chapter. Stand by for its coverage when we discuss defenses to contract lawsuits.

We will cover willful interference with contractual relations, but not during our discussion of this chapter. Stand by for its coverage when we discuss it during one of our last class sessions.

You should read Trespass to personal property, conversion of personal property, and disparagement of property on your own. I will not cover it in class.
